The Sprawl Mag is a (cyber-)feminist, anti-colonial speculative fiction, poetry, and visual art magazine focused on publishing perspectives that have historically been left out of canonical sci-fi and fantasy.

It is edited by Mahaila Smith and Libby Graham.

MASTHEAD

Mahaila Smith (any pronouns) is a young femme writer, living and working on the traditional territory of the Algonquin Anishinabeg in Ottawa, Ontario. They like learning theory and writing speculative poetry. Their novelette in verse, Seed Beetle, is forthcoming with Stelliform Press. Their recent chapbooks include Water-Kin (Metatron Press 2024) and Enter the Hyperreal (above/ground press 2024). Their favourite speculative writers are Rivers Solomon, Oliver K. Langmead, and Jasper Fforde.

Libby Graham (she/her) is a UFO enthusiast and the editor of Stasis: An anthology of retrofuturisms (Bell Press). She lives with her girlfriend in friendly Manitoba, on Treaty One territory. Her work has appeared in Radon Journal, Star*Line, and other venues. Some of her favourite speculative writers are Arkady Martine, Becky Chambers, and Ted Chiang.
